I'm attempting to create a private mailing list for photographers in Singapore, so that we can be kept informed of the latest happenings in the photographic circle. I shall be informing you of any courses, outings, interesting websites, and new products in the photography scene.

Okay, here's the first set of photographic news...

The NUS Photographic Society is organizing a Basic Photography Course for participants wishing to pick up photography. It is priced at $2 for members and $3 for non-members. It will start from the basics, teaching the concept of proper exposure, how to use a manual SLR, and composition and lighting etc. It is a 3-hour course, with some hands-on to give participants some feel of photography.

Nikon has just launched a new SLR, the Nikon F60. It is meant to replace the F50. The F60 is a basic AF model, suitable for beginning photographers. It can utilize all the Nikon AF lenses, has a built-in flash and many other features. Check out the Nikon F60 review at
